Wall's Lincoln-Mercury
What is now Wall's Lincoln Mercury in Methuen, Ma. was founded in 1976 by John Wall Sr. and his business partner John Scanlon. It was originally called Merrimack Lincoln Mercury but when Scanlon moved to Florida selling his interest to Wall the name was changed to reflect John Wall's dream and business philosophy of offering a warm, friendly and personal experience for their customers. From day one John Sr. and now his sons John Jr. and Bryan have remained highly visable and accessible throughout the family dealerships. "There's always a Wall around if you need to speak to one" John Sr. proudly states.
John Jr. and Bryan, who were eight and five years old when the orignal dealership was started, have both progressed through the ranks from lot boys to where they are now, Dealer and General Manager.
Bryan runs the Lincoln Mercury dealership in Methuen and John Jr. runs the Ford dealership in Salisbury, which the Family acquired in 1997.
The Family line doesn't stop there. In 2006 a third generation, John Wall III joined the organization full time after graduating from school. His position in sales at Wall's Lincoln Mercury is new to him as his years part time during school were spent on the service side of the business both as a mechanic apprentice and most recently as a service advisor.
So, the Family Tradition continues and John Sr.'s dream of a business where the customers know the owners and vice versa will continue to be carried through his sons and beyond.
With over 30 years of doing business in the Merrimack Valley area "Think Wall's" has become a familiar slogan and the Wall's Family dealerships have a long list of loyal customers, many of whom are also second and third generation just like the owners.
